After our first night in Málaga we headed out bright and early in the morning. We plugged in a parking garage for Marbella into the GPS and we were off - peace out Málaga, see you in a week!
The most polished and posh town on the Costa del Sol, Marbella has high-priced boutiques, immaculate streets set with intricate pebble designs, and beautifully landscaped squares. We wandered along the new part of town with high-rise beach front apartments and a wide promenade lined with cafes and restaurants. The Mediterranean on a gorgeous sunny morning.

Beautiful weather! Such a change from the snow storm we left behind in Germany. We can see why they call it the Costa del Sol.
Jay and Haylie were hungry so they stopped at a little bakery and cafe to have a nosh. Jay served his LDS church mission in Venezuela where he learned Spanish. It was super handy to have a fluent Spanish speaker with us!
A little further past the cafe, where of course the kids got some ice cream, we found a playground. After the three hour drive to the airport, sitting around at the airport for two hours, the two and half hour flight to Spain, half hour drive to the apartment in Málaga, and the forty-five minute drive to Marbella, the kids had earned some play time. We basked in the sun as Fox and Jane got some wiggles out.

It's off-season on the Costa del Sol, so things were quiet. We just strolled along the promenade, enjoyed the view of the sea, and laughed at silly things. Quick & fun stop!
Onto the next destination: Gibraltar, United Kingdom.
