Turn the Page Coptic Book

Wednesday, September 20, 2017

I like to make a coptic book with each of my collections so here is my official "Turn the Page" book!
I wanted to try something new for the cover which involved drilling lots and lots of holes for cross stitching a floral design. With the help of my dad's drill press I made all the holes in just a few minutes.
I found the cross stitch pattern on Pinterest and picked colors of thread to coordinate with Turn the Page. After painting the covers a sunny yellow I spent a few hours stitching. Fun fun fun!
The inside papers are all made with Turn the Page papers, cut and folded in half. I used all 24 papers in the collection which are double sided so I had 48 patterns. I divided them into 12 sets of 4 to make the signatures (groups of papers) and then arranged them into the order I wanted.
As I was binding the book together I added buttons, Turn the Page sequins, wood veneer, and puffy stickers as charms.
This little book is 4x6" so it will fit regular sized photos, embellishments, and journaling quite nicely!
Love how this turned out and I can't wait to fill it up!
Come over to my house and learn how to make these one-of-a-kind books at my house on October 7th! Visit www.bit.ly/bookbindingwithpaige for all the details!
