Last night I looked through all of my mini albums and instantly felt the desire to create another one - I HAD to, OR ELSE! :) Luckily I just designed a new Silhouette cut file called Envelope Gift Mini Album and I had already assembled the base for the picture I needed to include with the cut file design. No extra thinking required, simply add some photos, embellishments, and DONE! Okay, so maybe there was a bit more to it than that, but honestly from start-to-finish this took less than two hours!
Check out the process video to see how to create this mini album from start-to-finish:
I love how the mini album folds up to create a wallet-looking book, complete with a bow (included in the cut file!).
You know me, I love to keep thread ends long for extra texture and whimsy! I trimmed a few of them back, but left most hanging.
I used my brand new collection with Pink Paislee called Pick-Me-Up - creating with a single collection ensures everything will match perfectly! I slipped in a stamp and paperclip from Take Me Away... shhh!!
The mini album comes with pockets for adding additional photos and what-nots - anything that can fit!
At one point I thought I was finished but then I realized a few backsides of the panels were undecorated so I added a couple more stickers and die cuts and called it complete.
Inside the envelope...
I've added journaling spots topped with photos and die cuts and hand written thoughts.
Another interactive element I added to an already interactive album is this accordion folded trio of photos! It's secured in place with the Take Me Away paperclip I mentioned earlier.
All-in-all this was SO FUN to make! Fast, easy, and memories have been documented - win win all around!
I hope you are inspired to check out my Envelope Gift Mini Album - like the title suggests it would also be a great way to give birthday gift cards, make mini albums to loved ones, and even create pocket letter exchanges!
Thanks for visiting today, means so much to me!
