Dream & Imagine Layout by Donna Espiritu

Wednesday, February 6, 2019

Hello, friends! Donna Espiritu here with a new scrapbook layout for the Paige Evans + Silhouette Design Team. I used Paige's Floral Butterfly Outline cut file and Whimsical paper collection.
I love this purple paper from the collection with small butterflies (Paper 18) and I thought it was perfect for this particular project. I backed the right side with papers from the 6x6 Paper Pad and the 2x2 Paper Pads. I adhered the butterfly onto white cardstock then trimmed the top and one side about an inch before adhering it onto Paper 02
To add a bit of interest, I made a bit of a tear at the top and bottom part and then tucked in some of the clouds from the Ephemera Die Cuts. Aside from fussy cut florals from Paper 03 and Paper 14, I also embellished my layout with Floral Die Cuts and Enamel Shapes. The "dream" part of the title is from the Chipboard Stickers and the "imagine" part is Foam Mini Thickers placed at the edge of the butterfly cut file for an illusion of movement. Since I didn't bring any inks or spray paints with me (yes, I was still on vacation as I made this layout), I used some colorful markers to add color. I doodled small hearts, dots, and crosses/x's around the butterfly and randomly across the white cardstock part of the layout.
I hope you like my layout and it inspires you to create something today! Thanks for dropping by and happy crafting!

  1. Colourful and very pretty. A clever idea to use just the pens you had on hand for the background interest rather than sprays and inks. I'm going to have a go with this cut file too. Thank you.
