I am so excited to share my first layout using Bloom Street! Bring on all the flowers :)
And there's a process video for it!
I started by die cutting a bunch of my Layered Flower cut files and various branches and leaves from a variety of patterned papers. I tried to use monochromatic papers for each flower and stuck to greens for the leaves. To add texture and dimension I bent/folded each petal and leaf of every flower before layering them together.
I did some mixed media on the background paper which is the pink polka dot B-side of Paper 09. I splashed watered down white acrylic paint with a toothbrush then splashed lots of Pastel Dreams watercolors with a regular paintbrush on top - the colors match perfectly with Bloom Street!
Once the background dried, I placed the flowers and leaves on top and glued them in place. I tucked a photo underneath the flowers and created a title to say "hello beautiful" using the Puffy Vinyl Stickers and Puffy Word Stickers. I machine stitched through the "beautiful" to help keep them in place permanently.
I also added two leaf Puffy Vinyl Stickers into the mix for little pops of color along with all the green leaves. To finish I wrote journaling with a dark blue pen below the photo.
I hope this layout inspires you to pick up my brand new Bloom Street collection and start documenting your favorite memories!
