Hey everyone! I have a new layout to share with you today using my brand new Bloom Street collection featuring the patterned paper barcode strips! Save those things!
Check out the start-to-finish process video to see how this page came together:
To start, I had my Silhouette Cameo draw (note - draw, not cut, and I deleted the smallest heart) the Nested Hearts cut file on the bright pink B-side of Paper 05. Then I trimmed off the barcode strip from all 24 patterned papers in Bloom Street.
Starting with the largest heart and working my way inwards, I lightly adhered torn paper strips around each drawn heart. I used my sewing machine and white thread to stitch around each heart and then bent up the edges to create lots of texture and dimension.
I found two photos of me and Jane and placed them on opposite edges of the layout. Before adhering the photos down I splashed watered down white acrylic paint with a toothbrush underneath where the pictures would go.
I layered a few Ephemera Die Cuts and stickers (a combination of Cardstock Stickers, Puffy Vinyl Stickers, and stickers from the 4-Page Sticker Book) under and over the photo for embellishment. The title was made in the center which says "so much joy". The mini alpha stickers are from the 4-Page Sticker Book and they "joy" is from the Puffy Word Stickers. I wrote journaling with a white paint pen under the title.
I hope this layout inspires you to pick up my brand new Bloom Street collection and use those barcode strips!
