Altenew 7th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 4 + Giveaway (over $1,400 in Total Prizes) - Love Grows Here Layout by Paige Evans

Welcome to day 4 of the Altenew 7th Anniversary Blog Hop!

For this layout I featured the Craft-A-Flower: Poppy Layering Die Set. I grabbed my stash of textured cardstock, pulled 4 gradient colors for each flower, and got to work die cutting and assembling the layers with liquid glue. I made 16 flowers in total, 8 of both kinds.

Then I die cut a whole bunch of leaves and stems from gradient green textured cardstock and glued the leaf layers together.

For the background I used a soft robin's egg blue textured cardstock and began piecing the flowers, stems, and leaves together across the background like a puzzle. I aimed for not having any of the flowers or leaves touch, but was okay with layering the stems underneath. Once I liked the placement of everything I took a picture in case things got moved and then carefully glued everything.

I found a photo of Jane and Grandma and printed it to 3.5" square, trimmed it out leaving a thin white border, and adhered it to the top left corner, just barely covering some of the flowers - those are the star of the show, I don't want to hide them :)

For the title, I used the large Classic Alphabet Die Set to cut (3) of each letter in the word LOVE from textured white cardstock, glued the letters together, and adhered them next to the photo in a curve. 

Similarly, I used the Fine Alphabet Die Set to cut (3) of each letter from white textured cardstock in the words GROWS HERE, and adhered them below the "LOVE".

I wrote journaling with a white pen inside the large "O" to finish! I hope you are inspired by this layout in some way and thanks for stopping by the Altenew blog hop celebrating their 7th anniversary!
