Me And My Girl Jane Layout for iNSD 2022

 Happy International Scrapbook Day 2022!

Here is the layout I made for my challenge over in my Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group which is to use SPLENDID! That's it, that's the only parameter - what you make and how you use it is totally up to you! All the details about the festivities happening in my FB group today are at the end of this post!

For my layout I used 2 sizes of heart punches. Each flower (and I made 9 flowers) is made up of 8 large and 8 small hearts. I punched the 144 hearts from almost all of the basically solid papers found in the 12x12 Paper Pad, 6x8 Paper Pad, and 2x2 Paper Pads. Oh how I love a rainbow of colors!

The next step in assembling the flowers is to fold all of the hearts in half to make a petal shape. Then I punched two sizes of circles from scratch white cardstock - 9 larger circles for the larger petals and 9 smaller circles for the smaller petals. I covered the circles with liquid glue and quickly pressed the petals in place. I adhered the smaller flower on the larger flower and repeated that process until I had all 9 of my flowers assembled. To add a little something extra to each flower I topped the center with either a Button or a Chipboard Sticker button in the same color. On a white cardstock background I place the flowers in rainbow order in a wreath design. I tucked a 3x4" photo of me'n'Jane into the left side of the wreath.

To embellish the photo I slipped on a pink Heart Paper Clip at the top edge and created the title next to the photo with colorful foam mini Thickers. In a gap of the title I added a red heart Cardstock Sticker. I wrote a few words of journaling with a light blue pen below the title.

Then came lots of tone-on-tone embellishing! All around the wreath I placed items in the same color way including Enamel Shapes, Epoxy Stickers, Cardstock Stickers, and pieces from the 8-Page Sticker Book.
