I discovered Clark Little a few months ago, but couldn't find any good pictures of his work (or at least ones that didn't have writing all over them) to share, until I stumbled across this website.
Clark Little grew up on the north shore of the Hawaiian island Oahu, one of the focal points for the development of big wave surfing. He has dedicated his life to producing photographs of the inside of waves, images usually reserved for only the most intrepid surfers.
Clark, 39, swims in terrifying seas and crouches on shorelines with his camera in water-housing equipment to capture rarely-seen views from inside breaking waves, also known as 'tubes'.
To me, the waves look like elegant pieces of glass.
On March 25th I made a document of all his photographs, printed it out, and gave a copy to Chris. Since then, he has meticulously cut each and every photograph out and put them into three piles: yes, no, maybe. So "when our ship comes in" it looks like we'll be buying a bunch of his photographs to adorn our home.
