The One with ZING!

My Flora book is featured on the American Crafts blog today! Since there's a link to my blog from the website, I best post somethin' scrappy.

These past few days I've been working on samples for the Home Shopping Network featuring these stamps: and five colors of Zing! (Black, Chestnut, White, Cricket and Rouge).


Here's what I came up with:

A layout featuring a picture of me and Chris at East High School. I stamped all of the journaling spots available in the 5 sets of stamps on contrasting colors of cardstock and heat embossed them with one of the 5 colors of Zing!. I adhered them around the edge of a piece of 12x12 vanilla cardstock and then I cut off the excess. A straight stitched border makes sure they won't fall off. Then I went through my dictionary application and picked out lots of words that start with "e" that are significant to me and Chris. I incorporated the "E" in the photo with my title.

I also heat embossed some flowers on a t-shirt.

Then I made two cards.
I never in a million years would have thought to put these colors together, but I'm aight with how they turned out :)
