The One with Greetings from CO

If waking up at 4:30am isn't a crime, I don't know what is. We were on the road by 5:30am and the sun was just coming up. One of these days I'm going to get out my camera's instruction manual and figure out how to make it do what I want it to do. But for now, alls I got is a blurry picture of our early morning departure. There's a stretch of long and straight road as far as the eye can see.
We brought Jadis the bird along. He offered us quite a bit of entertainment. Like pickin' his nose.
And giving himself a head massage on the keys. Eyes closed and everything. Aaaaawj yeah.
The sign says it all.
I'll give you $5 to lick our front bumper. Maybe $6.
We saw one of them Bumblebee cars in Vail. You know, the yellow car from Transformers. Sunglasses never stay on long with Jadis around. I know some people probably think it's gross and weird to have a bird crawling all over your head. But it's taught me patience so I hope that translates to patience with our future children.
This might not seem like much of a view, but it's nice to finally see giant civilization after driving through the mountains for seven hours.
Chris says this house was in one of the Charlie's Angels movies. Cool beans. I think it looks like it's from The Jetsons.
We had a delicious fondue dinner, played some games and now here I am with toothpicks keeping my eyelids open so I can blog. Just kidding, that would hurt.

  1. You should bring a box of wires for your bird to chew on long trips like this.

  3. Those pics of the road bring back memories of driving to Fruita CO. There are miles of neverending straight road!
I love that you two weren't alone on the ride!

  4. I think that house was also in Woody Allen's Sleeper. Cheap Japanese flying packs!
