I made my two monthly layouts for American Crafts last night.
This one is called Mt Rainier. When Eric first got home from his mission Chris and I flew out to Washington to greet him. Then Chris had to go back to Utah for school and I stayed a few extra days. The fam and I went on a hike by Mt Rainier and I was missing Chris something fierce, but it was still fun to see the sights and breath the fresh mountain air.
Supplies: White embossed cardstock, patterned paper, ribbon, buttons, and Thickers are American Crafts, Kraft cardstock is Scenic Route Paper Co. (RIP), the white pen is a Sharpie, the decorative border punch is Fiskars, and the scalloped scissors are Provo Craft.
This layout is called Happy as a Clam. The journaling says: "Moving from UT to CA was very stressful, let's be honest. Chris and Jay took Rachel in the moving truck and Allie and I had the rest of the pets in our car. I was most worried about the finches, but it turned out that Chandler the rabbit was having the hardest time. So Allie so graciously held him in her lap the entire 10+ hour drive. And he was as happy as a clam! Thanks Allie! Chandler loves you!"
Supplies: White embossed cardstock, blue and red cardstock, ribbon, Thickers and the black pen are American Crafts, the tiny letter stickers are Making Memories, the scalloped circles were made with Spellbinders Nestabilities die cuts and the Cuttlebug die cut machine by Provo Craft.

Remember how HOT it was in Redmond on the day we went to Mt. Rainier? It was 104 in Redmond and 67 where that picture was taken. It was such a relief to get away from the HEAT. That was one of my top 5 favorite days of 2009 (so far)!
ReplyDeleteheheheheh cute layouts! I like your shirt in the first one. And I still want Chandler thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteI really like the "Happy as a Clam" one. The little scalloped circles with the journal is very creative!
