Not a whole lot going on around the Evans household. Same ol' same ol'. We try and plan things for the weekend so we have something to look forward to during the mundane week. Here are a few things we've been up to lately.
Chris finished his midterms on Thursday so he had Friday off. We needed to take a trip to IKEA to purchase a new rug. Joey threw up one too many times on our old rug and it smelled bad. Gross, I know. But we made a fun date out of it.
We got to IKEA at 9:30am so we could enjoy breakfast (so good and so cheap!) then we walked around the entire store and played like Summer and Tom did in 500 Days of Summer. As soon as we got home we put the rug down and I rolled all over it cuz it's the only time I'll get to do so before I become germ-a-phobic and won't want to touch it with any part of my body except my feet.
These next pictures are random, but hey, that's life. These are those bottle scrubber plant thingies that grow on a bush outside my work and they fascinate me.
Yesterday was the first Saturday of the month so we made an appointment to do a session at the Newport Beach temple. We dropped Joey off at a day care for the very first time and we headed down to Newport Beach. We drove RIGHT BY the Disneyland exit. So tempting to just veer off.
But we had places to go and people to see so we took a picture of the exit instead. I think we'll go to Disneyland next Saturday, it's been far too long :)
I wanted to go into the Crystal Cove State Park to take pictures of the ocean, but they wanted $15 to get in. Not so much. So these were taken from the car, leaning over Chris to see out his window.
The Newport Beach temple is as pretty inside as it is outside.
And since we were already on the coast, we might as well eat at Cafe Rio. Might as well.
I got a pork salad instead of my usual pork burrito and it was soooo good.
Life is swell.
