I feel like my mojo is coming back - it's about time!

My 0th Birthday
(Pronounced My Zero-ith Birthday :)

Tips: I watched The X-Files: I Want to Believe movie while scrapping this. Been on an X-Files kick lately. I FINALLY finished watching all nine seasons. Anyways. To make this layout I cut a bunch of different squares from patterned paper, cardstock, packaging paper, and downloaded patterned paper. I adhered them in a grid and left some of the spots empty. In the empty spots I stamped lines for journaling or mini images using watermark ink. I added some buttons, a scalloped border punched paper strip, a journaling spot cut in two, a Thickers title, and called it good.

Journaling says: It's crazy to think that the little bundle in my mom's arms is me! I was born on May 28th, 1985. It's crazy to think that a little over 25 years later I will be the one with a little bundle in my arms. Since the day I found out we were pregnant, it's all I've ever thought about. I'm so nervous, excited, anxious, scared, worried, happy, thrilled, and elated, all at the same time. How can one person feel all of those things at once? I don't know. But 10.15.10 can't come fast enough!

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Bazzill Basics, Kraft; Patterned paper, product packaging paper, journaling spot, stamps (candles, hearts, key, lines, words): Elle's Studio; Buttons, letter stickers, pen: American Crafts; Number stickers: Making Memories; Scalloped border punch, paper cutter, scissors: Fiskars; Ink: VersaMark; Adhesive: Helmar

My Siblings

Tips: I watched You've Got Mail while scrapping this layout. It's one of those movies I can watch over and over and over again; I heart it so. To make this layout I did things a little backwards. I wish I had misted over the background first instead of after I sewed down the banner. The mist got all over the banner and kinda made it a little messier than I wanted. But this was my very first time using mist, it was super easy, and I like the look it gives. Guess I'm finally jumping on the misting bandwagon! The banner is made from tags cut out of a sheet and a date label thrown in the mix. I actually covered up three of the original banner pieces with new, clean ones to journal on.

Journaling says: Eric and Allie - my siblings. Eric is three years younger than me and Allie is eight years my junior. It's only been in the last few years that we've really become friends - more than just bickering and bantering that comes along with being related. Eric cracks me up and Allie is my inspiration. I'm so grateful for them and love them to pieces.

Supplies: Cardstock, chipboard letters, pen: American Crafts; Journaling spots, vintage flash card, labels: Elle's Studio; Spray mist: Tattered Angels; Letter stickers: Making Memories; Circle cutter: Martha Stewart Crafts; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark; Adhesive: Helmar; Scissors, paper cutter: Fiskars

Friend Frame

Tips: I stamped two different kinds of flowers in black StazOn ink on five different colors of patterned product packaging. I cut them out with an xacto knife, set a matching colored pearl brad through the center, and adhered them with pop dots on a white cardstock block. I made stems from green cardstock strips and added green satin picot ribbon bows below the flowers for leaves. I put the art inside a blue IKEA frame and added "friend" foam Thickers to the bottom. Easy peasy.

Supplies: Frame: IKEA; Cardstock, pearl brads, letter stickers, ribbon: American Crafts; Patterned paper (from product packaging), flower stamps: Elle's Studio; Ink: StazOn; Scissors, paper cutter: Fiskars; Craft knife: Xacto; Adhesive: Helmar
