A fun perk of living in LA - once in awhile the opportunity presents itself wherein we can go see a screening of a movie before it's released - for free! One such opportunity for said events happened last night. After work I met up with my hubby and three other couples in Pasadena for a screening of the upcoming movie Life As We Know It starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel. IMDB says it's to be released on October 8th. No cameras or cell phones of any type were allowed in the theater so I left my phone in the car and felt so cut off from the world! I couldn't call anyone to see where they were, I just had to trust that they'd be there. It all worked out. We got our passes exchanged into wristbands and made our way into the (HOT HOT HOT!) theater.
Seriously, it was overwhelmingly hot in there. Especially for pregnant women. I overheard people complaining left and right as they were exiting how ridiculously hot it was in there. Ever heard of AC?!? I think the hotness really dampered Chris' overall impression of the movie...probably others too. I really liked the movie. 8.5 out of 10. It was super funny and a good wake-up call for us as expecting parents. IMDB says it's about two single adults becoming caregivers to an orphaned girl when their mutual best friends die in a car accident. The movie is super predictable, most rom-coms are, but that's why I love 'em.
I don't think we'll go see it in the theater when it comes out for realzies, but I will most likely get the DVD cuz I could watch it several more times. After the movie we filled out a quick survey, validated our parking pass, paid a buck for parking, and headed home. What a great and super cheap date!

So. Freaking. Hot. In. There.
ReplyDeleteCOOL! Well, okay.... "hot"! ;-) That baby is adorable too! I love Katherine Heigl... she's so great. I've loved her since My Father The Hero (*before* she was famous)! LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh! And I totally forgot to tell you before... I LOVE You've Got Mail! That's also a movie I can watch over and over and over! :-D
