There is a courtyard in the middle of the medical center where I go to the doctor. It is full of scary trees that are completely covered in thorns. Just what I love staring at right before an ultrasound!!
Anyone know what kind of trees these are? I don't have any clue, though I suppose I could google "thorny trees"...
Remind me not to ever plant one of these trees in my future backyard.
And that concludes my random post of the day. I'll be here all week.

ReplyDeleteThat is an odd tree! Never seen one like that! It looks like it jumped out of Alice In Wonderland or something.
ReplyDeleteCeiba speciosa or Silk Floss Tree. It has really pretty pink blooms and it's super drought tolerant, which is why they plant it in SoCal. I first saw them at the Huntington Gardens down in your neck of the woods. They're pretty crazy.
ReplyDeleteThey are definitely NOT good climbing trees!
ReplyDeleteTotally scary!
ReplyDeleteAnnie's a tree nerd.
