Lately I've been feeling ever so homesick. The last time I visited the lovely state of Washington was for Christmas, over 6 months ago. The longest I've ever been back home since I graduated from high school in 2003 is probably 10 days, usually more like 6 days, every 6-8 months. I never stay for very long cuz I've got too many pets back at the ranch that need my tender love and care. And flights are expensive. Going home is always fun and never happens enough. On Saturday night I had an extremely vivid dream that I was standing in our driveway in Redmond, WA and I was looking up at the trees and telling myself I needed to soak in every second and appreciate every moment I'm there because my vacation would be over soon.
That's it. I couldn't take it any more. I booked myself a flight home. It'll probably be the last time I go home as a "free" woman. This'll be a solo trip, which is bittersweet because I'm super excited to see my family, but I feel like half of me is missing without Chris.
Homesickness be gone.
