The One with the Baby Shower

Thursday, September 16, 2010

My friends threw me the most wonderful baby shower last night. There are just so many sweet girls that live around here that I've had the opportunity to get to know and love and share in my pregnancy woes and excitements. I now know why everything worked out and we got this apartment. We were meant to be in the South Pasadena Ward. Love you guys :)

Here I am on my way to the shower - about ready to pop!

Erica hosted the shower at her place. She got a Silhouette recently and has been using it left and right to make crafty things - I'm super impressed cuz my Cricut has sat in a corner unused for a year... This is the incredibly cute banner that was on her door:

Here's the cute name banner that welcomed people to the treat-filled table:

Treats galore! Nummy!

Kate prepared a few games for us to play. First we filled out the blank parts of nursery rhymes. Then four volunteers (Melissa L, Veronica, Melissa M, and Shanell) downed as much chocolate milk from bottles as they could in a minute. V and Melissa M were neck-and-neck the entire time!

The last game we played was everyone cut a piece of string to how big they think I measure around the belly. All the pregnant girls used their own bellies as a reference and Kate won, but I think she gave the prize to V who was next closest.

Then we opened presents. Me and my loot.

I requested all the pregnant gals take a photo together (though I'm sure some people just haven't fessed up yet :)

Ashley is due with a boy in February. Kate is due with a boy in December. Shanell is due with a girl in December. I'm due with a boy in October. Lindsay is due with a girl in November. And Jenny is due with TWINS (!!) in February. Lots o' babies on the way!

Thanks so much for coming everyone! I had a blast! Now I'm just a ticking time bomb...

  1. Don't you look so cute?! And so NOT rotund, as your earlier post proclaimed! Your friend did a fantastic job with the decor, and those treats look scrumptious! So fun to have so many friends, already, line up for Fox. It won't be long now!

  3. So cute, Paige. You know what? We moved from Boise, Idaho down here to Texas to where my inlaws live and I really didn't want to move here...at all...but we felt like it was what we were supposed to do. It's great to be close to family and our ward is wonderful. I am glad that yours is taking good care of you. My husband and I had to laugh about the pic with all of the pregnant ladies.
