The One with Nothing

I better blog or else people will think my absence means I had the baby. Whelp. I have not. And I have lost hope that anything I do to try to make him come will do anything but make me tired and cranky. Trying to stay positive and relish in my last few days (hours? weeks?) of freedom. Technically he's not even due 'til Friday so who am I to whine? I guess I just really had hope that if I set my mind to it and went on a few vigorous walks I'd be able to make him come today on 10.10.10. Yes, there are still lots of hours left today, but I hear first time labors take 12-18 hours or so. Anyways. He'll come eventually, that's a guarantee, and I just can't wait to meet him. I try and coax him out while he's moving and tell him it's a lot more fun outside the belly than in; there's a lot more room out here and I promise to be a fun mom :) Sigh. I'm going to go walk up and down some stairs now.

ReplyDeleteps-loving joey's bee costume & photos.
:) He'll come when he's ready. My husband was a month late.
ReplyDeleteC'mon out now, Fox!
ReplyDeleteThe word verification that just came up for me? "Mensies." Well, it's not "menses," but it's close. Maybe that means that Fox's arrival is close! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHang in there! You're doing awesome! Go out for some super-spicy Mexican food! :-) Or you know, just relax and enjoy the quiet. :-)
p.s. You're so right about the posting. I was like, "if she doesn't post today, I'm gonna have to email her." LOL. Then again... I *did* notice that you updated your Gmail status.... ;-)
Cherish the time for yourself and the ability to sleep as much as you'd like. You won't always have such calm and quiet.
ReplyDeleteJust FYI, my first labor was 5 hours. Start to finish. :) So you just never know.
ReplyDeletei hear ya. i did everything i could to get a 4th of july baby and we all know how THAT turned out...and i did everything i could to NOT have to share my birthday, but that didn't happen either. these babies are stubborn! hang in there :)
ReplyDeletep.s. i think what finally did it for me was scrubbing the kitchen floor on my hands & knees, and eating pineapple + roast for dinner. good luck!
Ditto. I am due 10/14 and I thought if I sent 9 months of positive vibes for 10/10/10 that she'd come today. Sometimes I try to appreciate my free time without her being here yet other times I break down and don't think I can mentally be pregnant an hour longer. It's exhausting!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been following your blog for about 8 months now. I can remember when you were just in the beginning of your pregnancy. Congrats on your impending birth, and thanks so much for your lovely inspiration along the way!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to be following your journey towards motherhood. I cherish memories of my first pregnancy and birth and I am now pregnanct with my second (only 4 months). If you can, try to avoid an induction at all costs. Let little fox come in in his own time. Here is some interesting reading material about post dates that I discovered earlier this evening. Enjoy and congratulations!
ReplyDeleteOpps sorry i forgot to add the website..... it must be time for me to go to bed :0)

ReplyDeleteJust think how cool his 2-year birthday is going to be if he comes today....you can celebrate it on 10 11 12 :) - - - good luck; exciting times!
ReplyDeleteHeehee! You're trying to get your boy to come out NOW and I'm trying to keep mine in until Sunday when I'm scheduled to be induced! Funny! Hope it works out for the both of us, girlie! BIG hugs! Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteHey Girl!! You need to go into labor tonight so you have him tomorrow morning like I predicted ha ha! There is one thing that works that hasn't been mentioned on here yet...I think you know what that might be :)!!!! It involves the help of the hub ha ha...good luck girlie!! It broke my water!
