South Pasadena is such a cute and quaint little town. There's a street called Mission that I've wanted to peruse ever since we moved here. (I just googled South Pasadena and on Wikipedia it says "The house used in the film Halloween is on Mission Street in South Pasadena." Neato!) For some reason it always takes me a long time to do things I want to do... I'm a homebody. Last Thursday when my Malm was still here I finally got to go see some of the adorable shops on Mission. Our first stop: Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Fountain.
We parked in two hour parking and then spent the majority of our time in this one store. So much to look at!
Mmmm candy. But it's off limits. I'm still doing Weight Watchers. (Which, by the way, is going really well! I've already lost 9 pounds. Only 18 to go til I'm back at my pre-pregnancy weight!)
This bunny rabbit matches Fox's room perfectly!
I fell in love with this hot pink Christmas tree.
Fox and a sock monkey.
Next door was a really cute boutique.
Loooooove this wall decor.
Here's the storefront of another cute shop:
And the inside:
And some of the contents from inside:
Funky metal stars.
A radical rolled paper doggie thingie.
Cute handmade birdies.
Paper robots.
What's with the painted holiday skeletons?
Maybe they were painted in October and then the hats were added later?
This was Fox's favorite store.
He knows when he's in fun places. Like when we were at Disneyland and he smiled all day. When he was in this toy store he was all smiles and giggles. Sooooo cute!
He'll love to go here when he's older and play with all the toys.
We passed a small art gallery with a cool display.
They had a show called "Traffic" going on.
We ate sandwiches at the Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Fountain for lunch (yummy!) then headed home. We only made it through about 1/4 of the shops so there's still a lot more to be seen!
