Chris didn't have school today cuz they're remodeling the lecture hall where class is supposed to be. What were we to do to pass the day? GO TO DISNEYLAND!
We parked on the roof of the parking tower and noticed the snow on the mountains.
It was soooo crowded! (Why??? Aren't kiddos supposed to be back in school? Or does everyone think that everyone is back in school so they all thought to come this week and maybe last week when it was supposed to be crowded it wasn't? The world may never know...)
It was so crowded that for the very first time we decided to walk to the park instead of taking the tram.
We definitely got to the park faster than had we waited for a tram.
And we enjoyed the scenery on the way.
Daddy and Fox at Disneyland together for the first time!
I can't ever go to Disneyland without taking a picture of my favorite quote about this magical place!
Love the posters passing under the bridge to get to Main Street.
Big horsey. I asked a "cast member" over at the petting zoo where they keep their horses and she said there's a five acre ranch behind Toon Town. Who knew?
Busy busy busy.
Our first ride was gonna be Indiana Jones, but it wasn't open yet, so instead we went on the Mark Twain Riverboat ride for the very first time.
It was really fun and we got to see parts of Disneyland we'd never seen before and view it from a different angle.
We have yet to go over to the Tom Sawyer island though. Maybe next time.
Fox enjoying being in his carseat on the boat.
Cool water ripples trailing behind the boat.
Real or fake? Real or fake? FAKE! But they look real.
I found my name!
Kind of a confusing message on the garbage can...
Who's that loner girl sitting all by herself sticking her tongue out?...
Whatever, I had a blast!
We met up with the Bybees and went on Pirates. Fox did great.
While we were waiting for the boys on Indy (cuz it opened) I took pics of flowers and entertained Fox and chatted with Erica.
Then Erica and I went on Indy - loooove that ride!
We ate lunch at the Rancho del Zocalo Mexican Restaurant and enjoyed the dangly lights.
Hi Blake, Erica, and Brooklyn! You're a super cute family!
Fox met his first character - Goofy! I don't think he really "got" it so I told him we'd try again in a couple years.
We ended the day with a trip through It's a Small World.
Fox was fascinated by all the lights and sounds and is definitely getting brainwashed to love all things Disney.
Fun day - hard to beat!

i am more jealous than i can describe in words. disneyland is my all time favorite place. i guess you could say i'm dying to go.
ReplyDeleteYou know what is weird? I had friends that went last week and it was almost empty?? Odd.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love how you take so many photos at Disney. We go all the time and I never end up taking enough:)
i love how you make a trip to disneyland so much more fun with the pictures you take. i swear you have an uncanny ability to make even Disneyland more enjoyable! hope that makes sense...
ReplyDeletebtw, SO JEALOUS.
FUN TIMES!! OH HOW I MISS THAT PLACE
ReplyDeleteOh, yay! So fun! We'll be going there at the end of the month - staying in Anaheim and going to CHA at the same time!! You'll need to give me some pointers on the best spots to check out! ;) Fox looks wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day. It must be great to live so close that you can go whenever you want to :D
ReplyDeleteOh man, this makes me miss Disneyland SOOOO much! I'm glad you had a good time and are taking advantage of Fox's free admission! :)
ReplyDeleteDisneyland! Disneyland! Disneyland!
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to go there SO badly!!
ReplyDeleteHooray for a day at Disneyland!! I love that you still take photos... even though you've been there like 50 times. :-)
ReplyDeleteI giggled at the end when you said, "brainwashed to love all things Disney." Holy Cow, that will be my kids! Jeremy will be so out-numbered by Disney fans in this house! ;-)
And crazy it's so busy! Although... college isn't back in session yet, and I think some elementary/high schools have this week off too! It's weird how it's different all over the US... and then there are the foreigners! ;-)
It should slow down next week. End of January and the month of February is when they do a majority of their refurbishments. SO many rides will be down then! And it's less crowded. :-D
fun day! Disneyland is great but even better with good company
ReplyDelete:)
EEEEEEEEEEEk*
ReplyDeleteDisney :D
