Here are my two required monthly projects for American Crafts!
Fox's Baby Blessing
How to: I used mostly supplies from the new Classics line from American Crafts. First I printed a hexagon, cut it out, then used it as a template to cut my patterned fabric swatches into hexagons. I placed them where I liked them along with the photos and adhered everything in place. I used pop dots to adhere the photos to make them stand off the page. I added some stitching down the hexagons. Then I added a few metal frames to hold the sticker title, a ribbon bow, a couple'a pearls, a toothpick flag, and heart stickpin to the mix. I finished by writing the journaling/blessing in a few of the empty hexagons.
Journaling says: I'm not saying - it's too sacred :) I actually wrote his blessing so we can refer to it oft.
Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts (white), The Paper Company (kraft); Patterned fabric swatches, metal frames, pearls, ribbon, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Letter stickers: Making Memories; Toothpick flag, heart stickpin: Pebbles; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark; Paper cutter, scissors: Fiskars
Engaged
How to: First I chose a color of cardstock I liked and a slightly darker shade of mist, then I put down a 12x12 piece of rose laser cut paper and sprayed over it. Take away the mask and this is what you get! I punched and cut lots of different decorative borders from strips of aqua cardstock and staggered them down the left side. I bent up the borders for dimension and texture. I added a trio of photos then stitched a line around the pics and border strips. I piled on a bunch of layered embellishments (they're called Details) on the top right corner, added a Thicker title, then wrote journaling along the stitched line. To finish, I punched the corners with a decorative punch. Simple as that!
Journaling says: It's official! Eric and Tanya are gettin' hitched! They flew down here to SoCal and they went to Disneyland and then the beach and that's where Eric popped the question. I can't wait 'til the big day in July! December 2010.
Supplies: Cardstock, rose laser cut paper, letter stickers, layered stickers (butterfly, flowers), pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark; Paper cutter, scissors, decorative border punches, corner punch: Fiskars; Decorative scissors: Provo Craft

ReplyDeleteLove how the spray ink looks; really like the tone on tone. Love the bright colours in the Engage LO too, makes the hedge in the picture pop!
ReplyDeleteThe background effect on the "Engaged" layout is very aesthetically pleasing. :)
