Fox has a Bumbo. He has a bouncer. He has a swing. He has an activity mat. He has an exersaucer. He has regular toys. All of his toys are taking over our apartment!!
Question: Which of these toys keeps him entertained for more than five minutes at a time?
Answer: None of the above.
Oy vey.
He prefers to be held every waking moment and we must be standing up while doing so. Chris says it's just a phase but this phase is goin' on four weeks now. Silly little boy.
We started Fox on rice cereal last week and we tried his very first jar of baby food today.
Question: How did Fox like his very first sampling of mashed carrots?
Answer: You'll have to ask his clothes, cuz that's where most of it ended up.
But in all seriousness, he did take quite a few bites and is getting the hang of opening and swallowing. It's so fascinating to watch a baby grow up. All of the things that we do on a day-to-day basis without even thinking babies have to learn from scratch. From holding their head up to learning how to eat and hold onto things, they have to learn how to do it all.
Question: What happens when you blow on Fox's face?
Answer: Watch and see:
Ever since he was a few weeks old he's been doing this "trick." When we blow on him he scrunches up his face and wiggles around. I particularly love this video because he's looking right at the camera, but every few seconds he glances over at me. And the millisecond laugh at 9 seconds in? To die for!
I just can't get enough of this boy. So glad he's mine all mine!

Emma loved her jumperoo so much, but not until she got older. So there's hope! :) I think he looks just like your husband, Paige. He's adorable!
ReplyDeleteGenevieve puts her little hand on my mouth because she likes when I blow on it.
ReplyDeleteYou can't tell me that anything in this world is better than your babies giggles.
How stinkin' cute! Gosh, you make me want to have another. I didn't just type that. Gracious! I did not ;)! Well, maybe I did. Hee! Keep treasuring those precious moments, Paige!
ReplyDeletei LOVE blowing in abigail's face. (luckily she likes it too). i think it is the funniest thing in the world how they suck in all the hair and hold their breath and it's like they've got to brace themselves every time! hilarious.
ReplyDeleteand same as what erin said about the jumper. abigail has that exact same jumper and she did alright in it from the beginning but once she was 6 or 6.5 months, she LOOOOOVED it.
i'm crossing my fingers for you that fox's little "phase" will pass sooner rather than later! keep up the good (hard) work!
i mean air... not hair. that would be strange. and difficult.
ReplyDeleteSo CUTE!!!! What color are his eyes?
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute Paige. Treasure the memories and enjoy him, they grow so fast.
ReplyDeleteI love all his facial expressions - so cute!
ReplyDeleteadorable!!!! Edward did not like carrots but he really likes sweet potatoes so try that next! He might like it! Edward also loved the blueberry/applesausce yum and bananas of course. He didn't care for peaches or peas either but ate them.
ReplyDeleteCutest. Baby. Ever! :)
ReplyDeleteThat little Fox is the cutest thing. He reminds me of my Jack when he was that age so much. Jack (6) and Sam (3) just made me replay this video like 5 times. They think he is so cute, and laugh every time they watch him wiggle and giggle!
ReplyDeleteSO cute! Miss you guys. :-)
