I think what I'll miss most some day when we leave LA is getting to work at these lavish Bat Mitzvahs and parties!
Last night I loaded up mine and Amy's scrapbooking gear and drove up towards Malibu to scrapbook on the site of a girl's bat mitzvah.
I drove along the ocean for awhile, it was so beautiful.
The event was mostly in one big room with a giant dance flo', the photo area complete with white backdrop and a table of props, my scrapbook nook, and some decorated tables for eating and mingling. There was another room off to the side with more tables and a bunch of chairs set up in outside in the perfect weather.
This is where I sat and scrapped the night away.
My favorite thing was the laser-lit ceiling. Tripped me out all evening!
We've got a system now where we make all the pages beforehand so then when the photographers hand us the photos we glue them and the handwritten notes people write to the guest of honor on the pre-made pages, accent with a few embellishments, and call it good! It's much less stressful this way and we get to enjoy the par-tay!
For dinner they had a grilled-cheese truck parked outside. How awesome is that?
More of the gig.
Always a fun experience to sit in the lap of luxury if only for a night!
They should have had a The Hat truck rather than a grilled cheese truck! Now that would have been awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh, looks like fun! I wish there was something like that here in ny!
