The One with Isn't It Ironic?

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

Conversation between Chris and I this afternoon as we were walking back into our apartment:

Chris, "Isn't it so nice that Jacob hasn't been here in 7 months except for a day or two when Fox was a few weeks old?"

Paige, "Yeah! It's been so nice! We haven't had to worry about how loud Joey barks, how loud Jadis chirps/ed, and how loud Fox cries!"

LITERALLY 20 minutes later, Jacob pulled into the parking lot. Speak of the devil. Why now, after 7 months of absence, does he decide to show up, and it happened right after we commented on it? Talk about ironic.

Note: Jacob is our next door neighbor who also happens to be the owner of our apartment complex. I feel like we always have to walk on egg shells when he's here to make sure we're being good renters!

What about you? Do you have any ironic stories? Do tell do tell!

  2. Today:
    1. My friend from Chile texted me about a great yogurt shop she likes to go to. At the same time the lady at the table next to mine ordered yogurt. (I was in the Cracker Barrel at the time.)
    2. My friend told me I'm the one with all the good luck and everything good always happens to me then... two cop cars pull up because two kids got into a fight over who would mow my lawn. DRAMA!

    I love frozen yogurt, but I don't like tween-drama! :-)

  5. Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
    "Well isn't this nice..."
