First - I haven't had a piece of candy, a scoop of ice cream, a single cookie, or any kind of sugary sweet in 8 days. That is most definitely without a shadow of a doubt the longest stretch I've ever gone without said sweets. I've also cut down on my ginormous eating-for-two-excuse portions, stopped eating my nightly 9pm bowl of cereal, and snacked on fruits and vegetables instead of chips and crackers. It's amazing what a scare on the scale can do. So either my scale is wacky or my body fluctuates like crazy, but according to the scale I've lost 5 pounds. 9 pounds to go 'til I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight. No sweets until I get there, mark my words!
Second - I took some pics of Mr. Fox in the tub, after the water had drained so don't be judgin' :) Looks like pretty soon we'll be able to style his hair!
Somebody discovered a little somethin' somethin' a couple weeks ago... LOL.
My camera was flashing lights and Fox became squinty mcsquinterson.
Seriously, this boy just makes my heart go pitter patter!
Third - every now again after church we still take family photos. Fox was being a squirmy worm so this is the best we got. He's my pride and joy!
I love candid moments though, they're the most honest and telling.
Fourth and finally - 2 books down! 8 to go! 12 posts or roughly 12 more days 'til my 1000th post! Woot woot!
Impressive! I haven't even gone 8 minutes today without a Jelly Belly (both the bean and the tummy).
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you're almost at your pre-prego weight. I'm not even close. I had to laugh too because Ethan hasn't discovered his bits yet. I was just telling my mom I'm not going to know what to do about that phase. It scares me! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on not eating the sweets! You are proving yourself wrong. On my January goal for myself (not eating sweets for the month), you said you would never be able to do that - keep up the good work! And Fox is adorable and squishy looking!
ReplyDeleteYou look great and Fox is adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteha! his hair cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteXo
I love all of those bath pictures!
ReplyDeletesuper cute bath time photos!!!! and yay for the loss of 5 pounds!!! Sweets are bad when eaten too much - but since you're getting your fair share of sugar from fruits, you're doing great! But... should u ever decide to comeback to the dark side... I try to limit my sweets to once per day or just the weekend cuz you know... everyone loves sweets! cereal at 9 PM? hahahaha girl, you crack me up.. good thing u ditched that! that way, we can do in n out runs at 1 AM. HAHAHA jk.
ReplyDeleteI love that squinty picture! So cute!
ReplyDeleteWatch out - now that he's found it, he's never going to want to let it go! HA! Boys.
p.s. ice cream is healthy cuz it has dairy.. or so i tell myself. ice cream > cookies... just like popsicles > ice cream and fro yo > popsicles. HAHAHA
ReplyDeleteHi, new to your blog. You have a great place here!
ReplyDeleteLesa
Love super-cute bath photos! He looks adorable! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd yay you! I *should* be eating less sweets. LOL. My midwife says that baby does *not* need them. I know she's right, but my baby LOVES ice cream! And I'm not just saying that because I crave it... no, when I eat ice cream the baby goes CRAZY in there! I love it. :-D I'm so proud of you for eating less sweets! I'm eating/drinking a lot of smoothies. That helps when I crave sweets. (Right now I'm having a watermelon and strawberry smoothie! Okay, and I had three small cookies with it... LOL.)
And your books look AMAZING! I want one SOOOO bad! I'm so hoping that I win. :-D
Look at you go, mama! Caleb and I have been doing weight watchers for a month and I'm thinking that it's just too much freedom for me. I may go back to what I was doing before I got pregnant with Lucy and see if that works out! You're my inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThe boy's so cute when he squint ;D
ReplyDeleteAre you going to stick to the "no treats" between July 8-15th?
ReplyDeleteFox is the cutest baby EVER! I can't WAIT to see him!
