The One with the Amy Tangerine Stop Motion Video

Amy Tan has done it again - that is given me another amazing and unique and fun opportunity! Love this girl! This time it was in the form of acting - why else do you think we moved to LA and Fox was born in Hollywood? I'll be expecting an Oscar soon :)

To promote her new Amy Tangerine + American Crafts line, Amy asked a few of her friends around the area to be in her stop motion video. Of course I said count me in! This is the storyboard for her stop motion video:

Essentially the story goes like this: Each time Amy prepares to leave for a trip, she puts together a book. The book allows her to quickly add mementos or photos of the places she’s visiting. It’s a fun, non-traditional way of preserving memories. This stop motion video shows how Amy Tan scrapbooks with her Mini Book. The video features the song “Art” by Tanya Davis (buy it on iTunes) and is directed by Byrne Owens and edited by Mike Manning.

A couple weeks ago Fox and I drove to an apartment in Hollywood where the shoot was taking place. Here are a few pictures from behind the scenes.
This is where all the fine acting was performed.

While we were waiting our turn, Fox and I both enjoyed looking through brand spanking new Amy Tangerine product.

Fox was quite infatuated with the Bits!

When it was our turn we got up on set! I lowered Fox into these ginormous red clown shoes and then next thing I knew he turned into a grown up man and I acted all surprised :)

And here is the final video! Fox and I make our debut around the 1:12 mark.
Congratulations Amy! Wish I could be there in Chicago at CHA to see your dream come true in real life!
