The One with Kauai Day Six

Almost done with the Kauai posts!

Thursday we kept it real and chillaxed most of the day. Chris and I went snorkeling in the morning (I love it!) then my dad and Allie went off on some kayak adventure while Malm, Chris, Fox, and I stayed at the hotel and I caught up on my correspondence and blogging. In the afternoon I took Fox in the kiddie pool - I know it's probably just a coincidence, but he was flapping his arms and kicking his legs! Maybe he'll be a swimmer.

Malm and Allie left to go back to the mainland that night leaving my little family all by our lonesome for the evening so we walked up the street to Poipu Tropical Burgers for dinner (again). A beautiful rainbow greeted us outside.

I should have ordered the Pupu Platter at Poipu... but fish ain't my thang.

Waiting for the grub.

Behind Chris was a huge fish tank with ginormous bulbous goldfish.

I got a coconut burger and it was tasty!

Since it was our last night on the island, we splurged and went next door to Papalani Gelato - heaven on a cone!

Inside the shop.

We got a scoop of POG (passion, orange, guava), and a scoop of Blood Orange.

They give you a teeny tiny spoon so it takes you longer to eat it and get your monies worth!

We mosied back to the hotel, gandered at the plethora of koi once more, and then started packing.

After I put Fox to sleep it was dark and I was stumbling around trying to find my cell phone which was charging in a corner on the floor. I heard a "plop!" and pushed open the bathroom door to see what had fallen from the ceiling:

A little translucent lizard! I snapped a picture of him and then he scurried into the utility closet never to be seen or heard from again. He sure gave me a fright though!
