Challenge for 11.17.11 - Washi Tape
BLISSFUL CARD
How to: Punch a partial scalloped border from the top left corner of a robin's egg blue cardstock base. Sew a border around the edges using white thread. Tie a piece of green baker's twine in a bow around the ends of three pieces of ribbon (pink pom-pom, yellow polka dot, and aqua felt ric rac) then adhere the entire piece to the bottom of the card. Place a dimensional sentiment sticker above the bow. Glue three pre-made washi tape flowers to the ends of the ribbon.

Challenge for 11.24.11 - Thanksgiving Cards
HAPPY TURKEY DAY CARD
How to: Cut a curved banner from kraft cardstock, draw a border around the edges with a brown pen, place a yellow mini alphabet stickers across it to make a sentiment, then adhere the banner with pop dots across the top of a cream cardstock base. Hand cut four leaves from fall colored patterned papers then adhere them in a curve across the bottom of the card. Place five fall colored paper leaves below the patterned paper leaves and then add a row of leaf stickers. Place a dimensional turkey sticker on the bottom middle so all the leaves look like tail feathers.

Challenge for 12.2.11 - Christmas cards with non-traditional Christmas colors
MERRY CHRISTMAS CARD
How to: Trim about (35) 1" strips of patterned paper then roll them into tubes. Punch a scalloped circle from white cardstock then glue the paper rolls around the edge of the circle to make a wreath shape. Place a blue accordion paper flower in the middle (take off the button that comes on top of it). Make a banner from white cardstock, draw around the edges with a pencil, then write "merry christmas" with a brown pen across it; adhere the banner to the middle of the card. Cut a snowflake sticker in half and tuck the pieces behind the banner. Stick a silver glittered berry sprig behind the to left edge of the accordion paper flower.

MERRY CHRISTMAS CARD
How to: Weave ten pieces of ribbon/trim/tinsel/pipecleaner across a white cardstock card base (five vertical and five horizontal). Place a doily die cut on the bottom right corner and add a dimensional bird sticker on top. Type a sentiment onto creamed line paper, cut it into strips, then adhere them next to the bird.

Challenge for 12.15.11 - Christmas trees
MERRY CHRISTMAS CARD
How to: Punch (56) diamonds from green patterned papers and cardstock, (1) diamond from yellow patterned paper, and (3) diamonds from brown patterned paper. On a kraft cardstock base, adhere the yellow diamond at the top using a pop dot then adhere the green diamonds in ascending rows all the way to the bottom. Adhere the three brown diamonds at the base for a trunk. Remove a few of the diamonds and re-attach them with pop dots for dimension. Sprinkle red pearls across the tree for ornaments. Make a sentiment across the middle using cream/black alphabet stickers. Trim a doily die cut into two pieces and adhere them on the top right and left edges; trim the excess. Use a pounce wheel tool around the edges of the card, skipping over the doily pieces.

Those Washi flowers are fab - I saw something like them somewhere (maybe on Kelly Purkey's blog at some point) and had to buy a buncha Washi Tapes to give it a try! You've inspired me to go for it! I also LOVE the Merry Christmas card w/ all of the rolled paper!!! Fabulousness!!!

ReplyDeleteWow! These cards are amazing Paige! My fave is the happy turkey day card. I must say that the rolled paper and the diamond tree Christmas cards are insanely cute too! I just love all the dimension and texture you always create with paper!
