Confession: I don't like wrapping presents.
(I heard you gasp out loud all the way over here!)
I know, you'd think I would, what's not to love with pretty paper and bows and ribbon and string? It goes hand-in-hand with scrapbooking, right? Kinda maybe sorta. But for me it's like cooking (which I also despise): you put so much time and effort into it only to be destroyed/consumed in a matter of minutes. I like making things that last a lifetime!
In an effort to get more into the holiday spirit, I've searched through Pinterest and Googled "wrapped presents" to see if I can turn my Grinch of an attitude into a new found love.
Let the wrapping begin!
These are all beautiful! I'm a little hesitant to wrap anything here this year, or if I do I don't think I'd better put it under the tree, as Mirielle things all presents belong to her! ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful packaging. I am sure everyone will just love it. TFS Paige.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous wrapping! Have to say I'm with you on wrapping. I used to spend tons of time on it, but over the years have kept it very simple! Meant to comment on your earlier post, but am glad the winds are over with and that you're all safe.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about wrapping gifts as you do :)
ReplyDeleteThis is tempting, though - http://erinzam.com/blog/2011/12/01/creative-gift-wrapping-workshop/
well I love wrapping them and my family looks forward to what I do each year :) They all have a theme of somekind...thinking this year of a lime green and silver base, just have to come up with the "piece de resistance"....any ideas?
ReplyDeleteI was talking about this with a friend, and saying that I would love to make my presents look so beautiful, but really I am just trying to keep it from looking like a 2 year old wrapped it, ha!
ReplyDeleteI like seeing wrapped presents but I don't like wrapping them either! I did a plain kraft paper with twine last year (except for Santa presents) and I thought it looked pretty cute.
ReplyDeleteha, I can't believe YOU don't like wrapping gifts! I love that aspect of Christmas time and thanks for sharing all these great ideas - I'm going to try a few of them!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these ideas for wrapping! I always get upset when someone just rips into the present (because the presentation is important as well!)....but I guess they are just excited to get a gift:) And sometimes I love the wrapping so much that I don't want to open a gift! LOL!
ReplyDeletetheres just something about kraft paper that makes presents looks soooo good. Love all the ideas!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty presents - and wrapping gifts isnt that bad....if they are all box shaped. ha ha ha When you get odd shapes thats when they never look that pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I don't like to wrap either! :) what fun ideas!!
ReplyDeleteI did gasp out loud, I must admit! ;)I love wrapping! I Try to keep it simple, yet beautiful. I think the outside is as much of a gift as what's inside. And I love to use the wrapped gifts as part of my decor until they get ripped into. My favorite look by far is the plain kraft paper. Looks great with whatever you pair it with.
ReplyDeletewe have those things in common, I am not much of a fan of wrapping presents, I don't mind if it's a few, but like at Christmas when there's tons, it just gets boring, and the cooking? right there with ya, although I could bake all day!! Love the presents you posted, great pics, I also love to hunt pinterest for ideas :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all these beautifuly wrapped presents!! I hate wrapping too....but that's only because my family would make me wrap tons of presents every year :-)
ReplyDeletei'm not the best wrapper, so unfortunately your present will not look anything like this. in fact, it will probably looks like a 5 year old boy did it. so have fun with that.
ReplyDeletebut i'm going to make it a goal to be more creative next year and get my christmas wrapping under order!
xo TJ
beautiful!!
ReplyDeletei'm not a big fan of wrapping either.
What gorgeous pictures! I do know what you mean about it all being a bit of a waste when it's just ripped open!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your Christmas card over at the Create: Blog this week, it's SO fun! Must give that a go!
I think I did gasp just a little bit because I would have thought your gift wrapping would be just as detailed as your layouts.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know you are like so many of us ;)
Whoa!! That's crazy!!! People are so creative! Hopefully people will remember the beautiful wrapping and not just destroy it in 2 mins flat :(
ReplyDeleteI love wrapping gifts! Especially in brown paper, that way I can add any color ribbon or accessories I want.
ReplyDeleteHow amazing!
ReplyDeleteI really like what people
can do with a piece of paper
strings and decorations.
=D this is so you!
I can picture you doing
this. Good luck love!
Can't wait to see how they turn out.

so many gorgeous choices! I love the yarn pom poms!
ReplyDeletepretty! I love the plain brown paper!
ReplyDeleteThis made me LOL. I am not a wrapping or cooking fan either. Too much effort for short-lived effect. Anyhoo, I usually go the gift-bag route and rely on DH to do the serious cooking here :)
ReplyDeleteps--so cool about your ETSY package!
