My dad's name is Tom and Chris's dad's name is Tom (Fox has two Grandpa Toms!) so I bet they're thinking this post is about them... Buuuuut, I'm actually going to talk about TOMS shoes :)
TOMS have been around for a long time, but I'm always a little late to jump on fashion trends. Now that I've owned a pair of TOMS for almost 6 months (and worn them pretty much 6 months straight - and they still look and feel good as new!) I've become familiar with and notice them EVERYWHERE. Who doesn't own a pair of TOMS is more like it! They come in so many colors, patterns, textures, designs, styles, for men, for women, for youth, even for babies! Chances are if you see 100 people wearing TOMS, they won't have the same pair as you on their feet. In fact, I don't even see the pair I own on their website (green corduroy), that's how many they have and I guess they "retire" some. Here are just a few of the TOMS I'd like to grace my wardrobe:
And Jane will take one of each color of the glitter TOMS please, thank you!
Even Fox donned a pair of TOMS for a few months until his feet outgrew them. I loved them!
If I could only wear one kind of shoe for the rest of my life, it would be TOMS. They're so(OOO!) comfortable, especially with my growing and swelling preggo feet!
PS - I wasn't paid or endorsed or anything for this post, I just really like these shoes :)

I have always wondered. Do you wear them with our without socks??
ReplyDeletei'm with you. I've owned around 7 or 8 pairs. i wear toms everyday. :)
ReplyDeleteYes I wear socks cuz my feet are always sweaty :) But they're just flimsy little nude-colored socks that you can't see.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 that you have pictured...the turquoise ones, the flower ones, and the glitter ones. Some feel better than others. I think the turquoise are by far my favorite for comfort.
ReplyDeleteSavannah has a pair of the Disney ones, and I love them too. Devin they are a no go for him.
I really like those silver crochet ones. I am such a dork, because I have only really heard of TOMS because the founder was on The Amazing Race (before he started the company), and not because I know anything at all about shoes :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE my TOMS! I have the Classic ones in Ash. It seems like everyone on campus is wearing them. They are so comfy, I can walk all around campus and my feet still don't hurt. I'm hoping to get a pair of the crocheted ones or the new flats soon!
ReplyDeleteI love my Toms!! I just got a pair of the ballet flats ... So fun! I just learned that you can wash them (even glittered)...I need to do that. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't own a pair yet but have been yearning for those black & linen flats - they were out of stock last time I tried to purchase.
ReplyDeleteFox looks adorable in his!
Oh I love the lace ones, the ones with hearts and the sparkle ones!!!! Hmmm time to do a little shopping :)
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with TOMS too! My first pair were the hot
ReplyDeletepink wedges. I am not a heels person at all, but the wedges are surprisingly super comfy. Since then, I have had my own obsession. Red, burlap, and wishes for many more. There is a pair on pinterest I am going nuts over. They have huge bold flowers on them. I know your style, and I know they would make you dizzy too! Apparently they are an older pattern, no longer made. :(
Seriously, If you get a chance, check them out. Just put toms in the search. Have a great evening Paige!
ha, you are hilarious. is it wrong that i have actually never worn or own a pair of TOMS? i know, i need to change this!!
ReplyDeleteMost comfortable shoes ever were those pair of Simple shoes I used to have. I wish I had another 10 pairs of those.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the rare few that doesn't own a pair I guess. I hear they feel great though. I saw a handpainted pair once that I would have gotten though.
ReplyDeleteIf you like Toms, you MUST check out Luchas. They look the same but are more comfy and you can donate to any cause you want (instead of just giving some kid a pair somewhere). I own a pair because my friend started Luchas and I really do believe in 'em. But I'm with you.. Toms have been around for quite a while, I remember when they donated a bunch of pairs to a not-profit organization I worked with back in 2008, I was thinking... what are Toms?!
ReplyDeleteHowever, truth be told, I think Toms and Luchas are the ugliest pieces of things in the world! They seriously look like Chinamen shoes (which they actually are in fact, because they do come straight from China manufacturing wise). I think they are tremendously ugly and despite that, I still wear my Luchas because truth be told, they are so magnificently comfortable and you can't always wear flip flops, even in Cali.
Sometimes... I think of that fable, The Emperor's Clothes, and I think we are living that right now. It's like in Hunger Games when everyone in the capitol looks ridiculous with their clothing and maybe it's not obvious now because like you said... EVERYONE wears them, but trust me that in 2030 or 2040, our kids will look back and laugh at our Toms fad. Yes... because they will think, why did my mom put me in Chinamen shoes?! LOL.
Lastly, I do need a pair of those sock things because I hate sweating in mine.
so cute!! love those shoes, they look comfy.
ReplyDeleteYou are not the last to buy Toms. I don't have any yet! I know. What's my deal! I've got to try some.
ReplyDeletePunk Rock Mom... they are to be worn without socks, but like Paige, I like to wear them with socks. I wear SmartWool Hide & Sleek socks with them, and they're perfect! :-D

Yay for TOMS! I LOOOOVE mine. I didn't have any until I was pregnant, and then I wore them every single day! LOL. Of course, *now* they're a size too big because my feet went back to normal. LOL. So I guess I'll have to get another pair... ;-)
I just bought my first pair two days ago. can't wait for the rain to go away so I can wear them.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted a pair... guess i should just do it.
