The One with the Ferrari Bar Mitzvah

Last Saturday night I worked at a Ferrari-themed Bar Mitzvah. I'll never tire of these things :)
Amy came and helped set up and get things ready to go.

We came with 40 prepped pages, all black/white/red/silver. I love how they all look together - so cohesive!

Kids and adults alike would come into our nook, pick a background they wanted (such as Seventeen, GQ, Time, or, the most popular choice seemed to be with Borat - whoever that is???) and then get dressed up in props. Then they'd print out the photos and hand them to me to scrapbook along with a note the guest wrote to the Bar Mitzvah boy. At the end of the night he had a completed scrapbook!

Before the party officially started, I walked around and snapped some pics to document.

The bar. I ordered a smoothie from here. It was delicious.

I'm not quite sure what this is, a recording booth?

It's funny when you start to become familiar with vendors...

The kids danced the night away to songs that I am now all-too familiar with and Jane danced right along in my belly :)

Meanwhile I scrapped the night away and enjoyed my views above with the cool shadows cast on the ceiling by the lights.

At the end of the night I showed the scrapbook to the mom and dad and loved hearing them ooh and ahh as they turned each page. Job complete! They rewarded me with a bag of candy :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love working at these events!

  6. I love what you said about the all too familiar music. I've worked multiple wedding receptions every weekend every summer for the past few years and you hear the same songs over and over and over. Why do all DJ's play the same 20 songs? So annoying. If I hear the cupid shuffle one more time I might die.
