Chris surprised me this morning by offering to take Fox to the LA Zoo, just father and son. I didn't want to be left out! Chris and his witty self responded, "I don't want to bring a toddler AND a waddler!" LOL. Good one honey. But I insisted and so we all went together.
June Gloom didn't stick around for very long this morning so it was bright and sunny and hot by the time we arrived at 10am.
First stop: the petting zoo. We were hoping that Fox would be more "into" the animals this time, but he was less than amused. Oh well. We'll keep trying. He loves cats and dogs and that's good enough for me for now.
Goats in the roped-off area are off-limits. So guess where all the goats were?
They're smarty pants.
The amazing hand washing station? Now THAT held Fox's interest. This boy loves his water.
Pink birds in all shapes and sizes are fine by me!
Tigers. Grrrr.
The best part of the day was watching Fox interact with this orangutan.
They got to spend some quality one-on-one time together.
We ended the morning with a pit stop at the playground.
So Chris, how was the trip to the zoo with a toddler and a waddler? :)

ReplyDeleteI SO want to take Hattie to a petting zoo. She LOVES dogs and cats. LOVES them... as in, ear-piercing shrieks every time she sees one. LOL. I'd love to see her reaction to other animals. :-) I should find a petting zoo in Austin... :-)
And I LOVE the photo of Fox with the orangutan! Oh, how adorable! I'm such an ape fan. You know my major was Primatology, right? ;-)
