The One with Disneylanding it with 2 Kids

We decided to go to Disneyland this morning - our first time with two kids! The park opened early at 8am so we were out the door at 7:20. There were hardly any cars on the freeways - if only LA was like that all the time! It only took like 20 minutes to get to the Disneyland exit, but then the cars getting into the park were backed up farther than I've ever seen in all the years we've been going...

But I haven't been in two months, I needed my D-land fix, so we stuck it through and I'm glad!

We met up with the Millers by the castle.

Jane's very first ride ever at Disneyland: Peter Pan's Flight! She doesn't look too happy about it, sad! But I just caught her at a bad moment, she was actually just fine on the ride.

We bopped along all the kiddie rides. Fox saw the Dumbo ride and exclaimed, "BUMBO!" Chris took him on it.

King Arthur's Carousel with the Millers.

Giving Jane a bottle on the carousel.
(Those squiggly lines are my hairs - totally sporting a Merida 'do these days!)

It's a Small World with lovely cloud formations above.

Then we went over to Adventureland to go on Pirates.

While the boys went on Indiana Jones, V and I took our brood on Jungle Cruise. It gave me hope for future visits sans Chris!

Then it was the girls' turn to go on Indiana - I was pretty stoked to go on my first "big kid" ride in 10 months!!!!!

It was wicked fun.

Up in the Tarzan Treehouse (or whatever it's called) I saw Jane's name so of course I took a pic :)

Phone booth cemetery. They were all out of order. Cuz who uses phone booths anymore?

Jane was a good sport. I made sure to sanitize my hands at least 100 times because I don't want a repeat of what happened to Fox after the very first time we took him to Disneyland when he was 8 weeks old (he got RSV and was hospitalized for 5 days).

We ate lunch and then high-tailed it outta there because it was getting sooooo crowded and sooooo hot.

We'll be back soon!

  11. Great photos of your trip, looks like you all had a good time. When my son was little he also got RSV at exactly 8 weeks old. He was hospitalized for 1 week. It's so scary for a Mom when they are so little.
