Feelin' a little under the weather today. I took the kids to Disneyland by my semi-self yesterday (I had a friend there with me with her two young kids too - thanks V!) and it really took it outta me. So rather than post lotsa pictures from that fun experience, cuz really, it was super fun, I have an extra layout that I made just because to share!
ONE MONTH
Journaling says: At just one month you don't do much except eat, peep, poop, sleep, repeat. You love to be held and cuddled. When sleeping you have to be swaddled so tight! You have a cute mohawk, it won't stay down! We love you so much!
Note: I didn't do monthly layouts for Fox, am I a bad mom for doing them for Jane? I did a 1 year layout with all of his monthly photos... I can always go back and make them??
How to: Tediously trim small pieces of patterned paper and adhere them to the back of every open space of a die cut background paper. Spray doilies with mist and use them along with tattered patterned paper blocks to make three photo mats. Embellish around the photos with various stickers and die cuts. Stamp a sentiment on one of the heart stickers with brown ink. Punch a scalloped circle from cream cardstock, stitch around it a couple times, write journaling on it, then tuck it under one of the photos. Make a title on a journaling card and place it between the photos.
Supplies: Cardstock, patterned paper, stickers (bird, borders, feather, hearts, letters), die cuts (branch, journaling spots), sentiment stamp, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Die cut background paper, spray mist: Studio Calico; Doilies: Dollar supply; Ink: StazOn; Punches: Fiskars (decorative corners), Marvy Uchida (scalloped circle); Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark
this is GORGEOUS! NO, you are not a bad mom for not documenting Fox's every month--you learn with each child--don't beat yourself up TOO much! ;) I'm sure you will make up for it and more with your AMAZING creations! And I really like how you added tediously cut paper to add to the back of the cutout--I KNOW what you mean, I've done it before on a MUCH smaller scale--it was TEDIOUS! :)
ReplyDeleteLove this-it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh she is just adorable! Love your journaling!! And I don't think Fox is gonna grow up and think you are horrible for not doing a page every month. Think about all you HAVE done!! And, um...that's a lot of tedious cutting!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh- simply adorable! Where can I find these little gems to start the documentation once my girl is born {in 2weeks! or less!}?
ReplyDeleteOHHHHH! I love the patterned papers and the design of you LO!!! I'm sorry you are not feeling good--hope you feel better SOON!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon!! I love love love the photos, and loving that background!!!!
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING! & dont feel bad about documenting differently for each kid, you've got a full plate! .... it happens. :) I feel like i take half as many photos of my older kids & sometimes feel bad but then realize its just cuz they arent clinging to me like the littles.... we do the best we can! im all for guilt free scrapping!
