The One with Indio 2012

Back in November 2009 we took a trip to Indio with some friends. Fast forward to November 2012 and we decided to do it all again! We left early Friday morning. It was foggy 'til right before we got there. Windmill farms e'rywur - that's how we knew we were close!

The beautiful WorldMark resort we stayed at.

 It's a lush oasis in the middle of the desert.

First order of business: SWIMMING! But before Fox got in he had to get lathered up in sunscreen!

This was Jane's very first time at the pool and she looked so cute in her swimsuit.

I spy a Chris and Fox waving at mommy!

Fox had a blast in all the different kinds of pools.


Fun on the Lazy River.

For lunch Kate and Pehrson grilled some kabobs. They tasted as good as they look!

After lunch we watched a bit of The Lorax in the theater room.

I opted to sit on the couch in the back and even fell asleep with baby Jane.

The kids found some dirt to play around in.

On our way back to the room the kids were chasing the ducks - and one of the ducks chased right back! I admit even I was a little frightened!

For dinner Chris cooked Cincinnati chili for everyone while I watched the kids. He cooks. I clean.

Friday night at dinner there were 7 couples and 15 kids in one room. It was insane and fun all at the same time! The more the merrier :)

Shortly after dinner the kids were tuckered out so we put the kids to bed and then we played a round of Battle of the Sexes (the guys won, drats) and then Loaded Questions. By the time we went to bed it was after midnight. I don't think I've stayed up that late since I was in college!

The next morning we took it easy and lazily got ready. Eventually we found ourselves at the pool again.




Practically everyone at this end of the pool was part of our party!

For lunch Chris and Jenny made delicious pineapple dip (just some of the ingredients: corn, beans, onions, pineapple, bell peppers, cilantro) as well as hot dogs and burgers that were soooo good!

After lunch the boys watched a football game while the girls cleaned the lunch mess. How typical :)

After lunch the guys went to go play ping pong while the girls chit chatted and some of the babies took naps. Once the husbands got back the girls ran to take a turn on the Lazy River - kidless!

Girls just wanna have fu-un!
