The One with December 2012 American Crafts Layouts

Wednesday, December 19, 2012

There's one week every month I'm not overloaded with work to-dos and what nots - that's the week I usually scrap! Well, that week is next week, but we'll be gone for Christmas, so I burned the midnight oil and scrapped this past week! I can only share 2 of the 7 layouts I made today, the others have to wait until I'm allowed - silly scrapbooking rules :)

FALL IN REDMOND 2012

Journaling says: I'm pretty sure Fox in layers is the cutest thing in the world. We don't get to wear fall clothes much in Los Angeles! Spending a few days in Redmond during the peak of fall was so fun!

How to: Trim 8 photos to 3 x 6 then adhere them across a woodgrain background. Trim the notebook edge from a few pages torn from a mini album and tuck them under the photo edges. Create a title on the empty space of a photo. Embellish with stickers, buttons, a sequin, fabric brads, paper leaves, a heart die cut, and more!

Supplies: Patterned paper, mini album pages, fabric brads, buttons, sequin, stickers (arrows, house, letters, numbers, sentiments, words), paper leaves, heart die cut, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Wooden Washington state veneer: Studio Calico

HELLO SLEEPING BEAUTY

Journaling says: Yeah... I forgot to write journaling... but it's a pretty self-explanatory layout: Jane's a sleeping beauty!

How to: Die cut a large rose from pink cardstock then back each section with a photo or patterned paper. Trim the sides with scalloped scissors then stitch lace trim behind the edges. Make a title on the center and embellish around it with pearls, jewels, sequin and sequin trim, and a heart stickpin.

Supplies: Cardstock, patterned paper, stickers (letters, word), sequin trim, adhesive: American Crafts; Heart stickpin, jewels, pearls: Pebbles; Sequins: Craft supply; Lace trim: Love My Tapes; Scalloped scissors: Provo Craft; Die cut machine (Cameo), rose die (Silhouette): QuicKutz; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark

  16. I saw the second layout on Pinterest and immediately thought it had to be yours (then I saw baby Jane and my thoughts were confirmed). I LOVE that I can see your layouts randomly on the internet and know that they're yours. You have such an amazing, unique, style that just isn't replicated by anyone else. Keep up the great work!

One question, though: Your layouts always look so time consuming. How often does it normally take you to make one?
