Hey howdy hey, it's the 1st of the month which means new Garden Girl layouts are up!
Here is the layout I made with a LOVE theme:

YOU 2 ARE LOVED

Description: I love how the colors in the "Walnut Grove" line by Pebbles, the "On Trend" line by Crate Paper, and the "Acorn Avenue" line also by Crate Paper mix and match together so well! I also threw in a few bits from the "Soho Garden" and "Ready Set Go" lines by American Crafts. I used all the papers from the 6 x 6 paper pads from these collections because the patterns are miniature-ized and since I was cutting small pieces from the papers, you get to see more of the pattern. All of the colors and patterns remind me of a quilt - I get a lot of my scrapbooking inspiration from quilts. Creating clusters of embellishments (such as jewels, sequins, pearls, and spray mist) draws the eye around the page.

Journaling says: The title is the journaling because the photos don't really have a story behind them - they were just taken at the same time on August 9th 2012 - I was just capturing the moment!

How to: Cut dozens of hearts from mini patterned paper pads the old-school way: fold the paper in half and cut a half heart shape! Sew a straight line through all the hearts. To do this I just feed the hearts through my sewing machine to create a garland and then I cut the string between the pieces to make them individual pieces again. Adhere two black and white photos on top of a heart doily then place it on the bottom right corner of a ledger paper background. Adhere the paper hearts in a curve around the photo, starting with the largest hearts first then radiating out, tucking each heart behind the others. Cluster embellishments on the top left corner and tuck a "LIFE" die cut under the left edge of the hearts. Die cut "loved" from white cardstock and add it as well as letter and number stickers over the photos for a title. Drop gold spray mist on the top left, bottom left, and bottom right corners.

Supplies: Cardstock, epoxy brad, button, "LIFE" die cut, stamps (date, heart border), die cuts (label, ticket), chipboard heart, sequins: American Crafts; Patterned paper: American Crafts, Crate Paper, Pebbles; Stickers: American Crafts ("2", heart, "LOVE"), October Afternoon (blue mini alphabet); Jewels: Recollections; Flower pearls: K & Company; Heart doily: Dollor store; Spray mist: Tattered Angels; Die cut machine (Cameo), "loved" die (Silhouette Online Store): QuicKutz; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark
