We went on our first date without the kids in two months tonight! The last time was a couple nights before we flew out to Germany thanks to Eric and Tanya who babysat.
PS - Thanks to those who noticed my new 'do on instagram - I dyed it this very afternoon! It's dark red right now, after a few washes it'll lighten up to the red that I've been so fond of the past couple years.

We finally drove by Grafenwöhr's rathaus (town house). I can't get over how picturesque every.single.place in this part of the world is!
Chris took me to Gasthof Andreas Hossl. (Not my pic cuz it was dark when we got there, but for memorie's sake, here's one from the interwebs). A legitimate German restaurant.
Even though we started (and when I say "we" I mean "Chris) speaking in German the one and only waitress spoke back to us in English. What it is about us that screams American? Always happens haha.

We sat down at our table and enjoyed the boisterous laughing and good times being had by all.
We ordered and a few minutes later (that was fast!) our food was brought out. Chris ordered a schnitzel and I got peppered stake.
I actually had to send mine back to get cooked a little longer cuz there was blood still spilling out of it (ahh!) but once it came back it was DELICIOUS! If anyone ever comes to visit us (Malm & Dald? Eric & Tanya? Allison & Tate? Jay & Haylie? Anyone, anyone??) we'll definitely be taking them here because it was top notch.
Yay for date night!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the food! I liked the company even more! :) Now we just have to find me some dumplings...
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy! I can't wait to try it out. Of course, by the time we actually get there, you'll have a list a mile long of places to eat and we'll have to hit ALL of them!
ReplyDeletesounds like FUN!
ReplyDeleteLovely outing!! Thanks for sharing the food photos! Last week I was in Disneyland on the Mermaid ride...somehow I thought of you since you mentioned how much you love that happiest place!
ReplyDeleteAh, date night...I can't even remember the last time we had a date night with just me and Dan. Lucky ducks! P.S. Who needs the PCH, every picture you post looks like it came straight out of a fairy tale! Maybe if all my dreams come true we can try out yummy German restaurants with you in a year or two!
