ONE

Description: Every month I've been taking pictures of Jane to record her progress and milestones and then I've been scrapping those (super cute, if I say so myself!) photos. This is the last of the twelve monthly layouts because she's now one whole year old! What could be more perfect and girly than flowers? A popular embellishment shape, I've been collecting flowers since I can remember and it was time to put them all to good use. From new fabric flowers by BasicGrey to wood veneer flowers from Prima, chipboard flowers from Fancy Pants Designs, puffy flower stickers by American Crafts, flower-shaped buttons by Doodlebug Design, resin cabochons by Studio Calico, plus flower flair badges, flower die cuts, and flower fabric covered brads... the list goes on and on of where you can find flowers! This layout my look pretty complicated and time consuming, but you can actually make it in about a half hour to forty-five minutes from start to finish, and that my friends, is my kind of scrapping!

Journaling says: Jane, at one year old you are so pretty and sweet, fun, loving, darling, smart, and happy. You love Fox so much. You love to read. We love you!

How to: The video shows how to create the layout from start to finish. Here it is written: Die cut a 10" flower from patterned paper, place it over a white cardstock background, trace around the shape, remove the die cut page, then lightly erase over the pencil markings so they're just barely visible. Grab your assortment of flower embellishments then start placing them from large to small so they're close together but not touching. Take a picture of the placement of the pieces and refer back to is as you're adhering the flowers in place permanently. Adhere the flower die cut page over the flowers with foam dots. Use a scalloped border punch down the left and right edges of the layout and back those edges with a darker shade of pink patterned paper. Adhere three photos around the layout. Tuck a small piece of doily under the left picture and apply white doily rub ons underneath the edges of the other two photos. Drop white spray mist around the photos to bring out the white background and doilies. Use a brown pen to journal on the middle right edge and stamp the date below. Punch a pinked circle from white cardstock and make a title on it with Thickers. Frame the title with Thickers bracket stickers then place it over one of the largest flowers.
