The One with Kid's Christmas Crafts

Wednesday, November 27, 2013

I love my kids and I love crafts - combine the two and you've got the mecca of Paige's happiness!
This morning we spent a couple hours putting paint to paper making Christmas prints for our walls.
Thank you Pinterest for the ideas :)
I thought Fox would freak out getting paint on his hands (I swear he has some legitimate phobia of water or getting anything on his hands).
But once he saw how awesome-sauce this activity was, he took over and started painting his hands himself!
I made sure to put scratch paper down on the table before starting, this was bound to get messy!
Fox and Jane's works of art:
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer made with feet prints!
A candy cane made with pointer finger prints!
A Christmas tree made with hand prints!
And Santa made with an upside-down hand print!
At first I hung them on the tree with clothespins, but they were too big.
Instead I hung them on the wall behind the tree. Ideally I'd like to frame them and use them as Christmas decorations forevermore.
So fun!
