I (la-la-)love getting emails from anyone and everyone at Elle's Studio! I'm always up for creating with their super fab supplies. Every day in the month of December at Elle's Studio they're celebrating with a new blog post. Here is the layout I made to contribute to the festivities:
FA LA LA by Paige Evans
Description: I've been holding onto these photos of Fox and Jane for a year now waiting for the perfect combination of Christmas supplies to come my way - enter Elle's Studio special holiday line Noel! I love the traditional green and red with a mix of chalkboard black, kraft, a dash of pink and gray, and there's even a couple shades of blue, I just opted to use only the other colors. But the blue papers would be perfect for snowy, wintery photos! And the snowflake patterned vellum is delicious - I want to use it everywhere! I'm so happy to finally have these picture from last Christmas scrapped - let's just hope it doesn't take me another entire year to scrap the photos that I'll take this year!
Journaling says: The day after Thanksgiving the Christmas tree goes up and we decorate for the holidays. I couldn't wait to dress up Fox and Jane in cute holiday gear and pose them in front of the pretty tree!
How to: Punch triangles from patterned paper, patterned vellum, cardstock, patterned packaging paper, and die cuts then adhere the triangles across the bottom half of a white cardstock background. Outline the vellum triangles with clear glitter glue. Top the kraft triangles with wooden veneer stars and embellish some of the other triangles with buttons, brads, and bling. Layer three photos along with journaling spot die cuts and a Polaroid frame die cut in a curve across the top of the layout. Place white foam letter stickers on the photos to create the title. Sew over the top edge of the photos to make a banner look. Embellish the ends and between the photos using wood veneer snowflakes and stars. Tuck a sentiment tab onto the middle photo. Drop black spray mist and India ink on the top right, top left, and bottom right corners. Stamp the date and a few sentiments in black ink on the top left corner. Write journaling with a black pen in three of the empty triangles.
Supplies: Patterned paper, patterned vellum, wood veneer (snowflakes, stars), die cuts (journaling spots, Polaroid frame, sentiment tab): Elle's Studio; Cardstock, wooden buttons, brads, letter stickers, glitter glue, adhesive, triangle punch, pen: American Crafts; Stamps: American Crafts (date), Elle's Studio (sentiments); Spray mist, sequins: Studio Calico; India ink: ProArt; Ink: StazOn; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark
