I filled in for Elizabeth Kartchner's latest In the Mood to Scrap video at twopeasinabucket.com - those are some big shoes to fill!!
First I created a mood board to inspire my layout:
I found lots of bright colored quilts and unique designs that I could replicate with paper and punches. And of course the Polka Dot Party line by Dear Lizzy for American Crafts! I chose pictures of Jane sitting on the laps of 4 of her 6 living Great-Grandparents. Just looking at these pictures makes me teary-eyed, I love my grandparents so much!

Description: Quilts are some of my go-to pieces of inspiration. When I type in "quilts" into Pinterest it never fails that I find a quilt that I want to replicate with paper, scissors, and glue! In typical Paige Evans style, I whipped out a punch and got to work making triangles from each of the 12x12 and 6x6 papers in the Polka Dot Party by Dear Lizzy for American Crafts collection. The bright colors, especially the blues and pinks, coordinated perfectly with the clothes my grandparents and Jane are wearing in the pictures.
Journaling says: Jane - you are so lucky to have met four of your great-grandparents! We love you!

How to: The video shows how to create the layout from start to finish. Here it is written:
Punch two triangles from each of the 12x12 and 6x6 papers in the Polka Dot Party by Dear Lizzy for American Crafts collection. Proceed to take a picture of all the pretties and 'gram it :):
Also punch 1/2" circles from yellow patterns for the flower centers. On a white ruffled crepe paper background, start building the flower designs. This is where watching the video comes in handy :) Use six triangles for each flower and connect them together across the top half of the layout. Stitch circles around the flowers to keep them in place forever. Adhere the photos across the bottom half of the layout and embellish with die cuts, stickers, and ribbon photo corners as shown. Trim a label sticker, tuck it under one of the pictures, and journal on it. Use mini alphabet stickers to make the names of the people in the photos. Create a Thickers title above the die cut background. Back the three hearts in the die cut background with a piece of pink paper to help them stand out.
