The latest cards challenge I came up with for the Create Blog was to use punches - one of my favorite tools! Here's what I made:
ENJOY by Paige Evans
Card is 5" square
How to: Paint pink and yellow stripes using watercolors on a white cardstock card base (it's leftover from my Fresh Cut by BasicGrey layouts). Punch shapes from patterned papers then adhere them in a 3x3 grid on the card base, leaving the center empty. Sew straight lines down the rows. Add an embellishment to each of the punched shapes and an "enjoy" sentiment banner sticker to the middle. Outline three of the punches with clear glitter glue.
Supplies: Cardstock, wood button, resin flower brad, glitter glue, adhesive: American Crafts; Brads: American Crafts (white butterfly), BasicGrey (epoxy, gray butterfly, patterned fabric); Sentiment banner sticker: BasicGrey; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark; Punches: American Crafts (star), Creative Memories (hexagon), Fiskars (scalloped circle), Jenni Bowlin Studio (8 point star), Martha Stewart Crafts (butterfly, doily, heart confetti, pinked circle)
