I really really really dropped the ball on Fathers Day this year. I didn't even remember until 12:30pm........ Can't believe I'm admitting that publicly, but hopefully it makes you feel a bit better about yourself! As a (poor) excuse, we were on vacation and I was out of touch with reality. I look at my calendar dozens of times a day and if I don't see it, I don't remember it... Anyway, I'm sorry Chris! Hopefully I can make it up to you some day!

I will always remember when you became a daddy and the tender moments as you held our babies for the first time.
People always ask me how I get so much done. The answer is: Chris. He is such a hands-on dad and does so many things for our family: he cooks, he folds laundry, he watches the kids as soon as he gets home from a looooong day at work, and countless other things that I'm so appreciative of and need to be better at acknowledging verbally! I love the quote that says, "The only thing better than having you as my husband is our children having you as their daddy." Truer than true!
And there's also MY daddy! Or, Dald :)
I know I've said it before, but I am him in so many ways. Think of any characteristic or attribute about me and it probably comes from him. He taught me well :)
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY 2014!
Ha, oh man. If it makes you feel any better, Dan likes to say that of the three Father's Days he's been a father, he hasn't seen his kids on any of them. The girls and I have always been out of town and then this year he had basic training. So tell Chris, it could be worse! ;)
