THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE by Paige Evans
DESCRIPTION: Man I love cutting letters by hand - ransom style :)
JOURNALING SAYS: The big title is also the journaling: the best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been, and the memories made along the way.
HOW TO: Hand cut letters from all the 6x6 patterned papers in the Shimelle line as well as a few of the 12x12 papers. On a gray cardstock layout base, paint stripes of white where the letters will go, leaving a gap for photos. Stitch the letters in place. Adhere a trio of photos to the gap then embellish with a wood veneer banner cut in half and tucked under the edges, chipboard photo corners, a heart border sticker, the date stamped with black ink below the right photo, flower and heart rub ons, and a heart border rub on as shown. Drop black India ink around the layout to draw the eyes all across the page. Place color-on-color enamel dots on some of the letters.
SUPPLIES: Cardstock, patterned paper, wood veneer banner, rub ons (flowers, hearts), roller date stamp, heart border sticker, chipboard photo corners, adhesive: American Crafts; Enamel dots: Studio Calico; Ink: StazOn; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark; India ink: ProArt
