Happy emails make me, well, happy! When Michelle at Technique Tuesday contacted me and asked if I wanted to pick a coordinating metal die and stamp set to try out I said, "Sign me up!" Or something along those lines :)
I chose the Going Places Fresh Cut Studio metal dies:
because we love to travel so they will go with many of my photos that need to be scrapped!
Here's the layout I made with these dies and stamps:
ADVENTURE by Paige Evans
Description: I love rainbows, lots of patterned papers, watercoloring, and stitching. You'll find some of all of that on this layout! Using the Capture collection by BasicGrey full of bold colors - perfect for these photos of Mr. Fox.
Journaling says: Despite your sad faces here, you really were having a fun time on Charles Bridge in Prague!
How to: Watercolor a rainbow across a subtle graph paper background and while it's drying die cut lots of travel-themed pieces from patterned papers. Adhere two photos over the watercoloring. Trim a chipboard frame in half and tuck the halves under the pictures. Stick the die cut papers on the layout over the same color of watercoloring - red on red, orange on orange, yellow on yellow, etc. Sprinkle on some enamel dots, chipboard, stickers, and pre-made die cuts, then stamp a few checkmarks and asterisks, again using the color-on-color method. Place three words using mini letter stickers and straight stitch over them. Journal on a label sticker placed on the top right corner. Stitch a Thickers title between the photos.
Supplies: Travel-themed metal dies and stamps: Technique Tuesday; Patterned paper, stickers, chipboard, die cuts: Capture by BasicGrey; Thickers, roller date stamp, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Enamel dots, watercolors, ink: Studio Calico; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark
Thanks Technique Tuesday for letting me try out some of your awesome dies and stamps!
