October 2014 Studio Calico kits are almost here - woot woot! Such an exciting time of the month in the scrappy world :) The kits are all named after places and things in London and the overall title is THE UNDERGROUND. I was über inspired by the colors and patterns of the papers and embellishments and was able to make 5 layouts - with a 6th coming in video format next week (although I've almost killed my kits already - it's going to be a fun challenge to see what I can come up with using my scraps)! And so, without further ado, here are my sneaks (in the order in which I made them) to get you excited!
HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY - I've been tasked with creating a layout based on digital products every month - which is something I love doing anyways so it's a bonus! For this THE UNDERGROUND main kit only layout I used a digital stamp from the Project Life kit and backed it with lots of papers. Full how to coming at the reveal :)
SAY YES TO ADVENTURES - my other THE UNDERGROUND main kit only layout was inspired by a quilt I found on Pinterest.
BLUE EYES - entirely using the PICADILLY add on (and two butterfly stickers from the NOTTING HILL add on). The chipboard frames are simply divine and must be featured prominently :)
YOU ARE LOVED - I found a fun paper folding technique on, you got it, Pinterest, and used all the papers from all the kits (THE UNDERGROUND, PICADILLY, NOTTING HILL, and KING'S CROSS) to feature said paper folding technique.
XO - I know I sound like a broken record, but it's such a treat to get to design background cut files for Studio Calico! This month was no exception and here I featured the stitched diamonds background cut file, filled in with some watercoloring and bits and pieces from all the kits (THE UNDERGROUND, PICADILLY, NOTTING HILL, and KING'S CROSS).
The Creative Team gallery for THE UNDERGROUND kits goes up tomorrow at noon Eastern Time - I'll be back then to share these layouts in full!
LOVING the sneaks!!!!
