I did a bit of guest designing for Chickaniddy Crafts using the Jolly Good collection!
FUN TIMES TOGETHER by Paige Evans
Description: I love creating big shapes on my background so for this layout I focused on making a big paper star and adding little embellishments.
Journaling says: Every year on the day after Thanksgiving we set up our Christmas tree to kick off the holiday season!
How to: Trim thin strips of patterned papers and glue them into a star on a white cardstock layout. Zigzag stitch here and there over the star. Add a photo on the right edge and tuck stickers under the corners and place a die cut frame over it. Journal next to the photo. Embellish the star with brands, epoxy stars, die cuts, and a bunch of stickers. Drop pink mist around the layout to finish.
Supplies: Patterned paper, brads, epoxy stars, die cuts, stickers: Chickaniddy Crafts; Cardstock, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Spray mist: Studio Calico; Sewing machine: Brother; Thread: Coats & Clark

JOLLY GOOD by Paige Evans
Description: It's been awhile since I've done the "torn paper" technique so I thought I'd give it a whirl here!
Journaling says: Every night in December we read a Christmas story and then eat a piece of chocolate from an advent calendar - it makes every night so fun!
How to: Tear patterned paper strips and adhere them across the top and bottom of a robin's egg blue cardstock base. Write with a white pen along the paper edge. Add a few epoxy stars over the paper strips. Place three photos in between the paper strips and embellish with stickers and die cuts. Splatter white paint around the page and stamp "merry christmas" with white paint above one of the photos.
Supplies: Patterned paper, epoxy stars, stickers, die cuts: Chickaniddy Crafts; Cardstock, adhesive: American Crafts; Pen: Uniball Signo; Paint: Americana

ReplyDeleteI love the torn paper at the bottom of your page. I used to use that technique and love the look - I'm inspired to rip paper again! I think it is therapeutic too!
