Maggie Holmes is such a huge inspiration to me! Everything about her is simply perfect :) I was so excited when she asked me to guest design for her using some of her supplies:
J by Paige Evans
Description: I've been wanting to use this pretty Bouquet of Flowers cut file for some time now, and thought it would go perfectly with the new Confetti line!
Journaling says: You fall down more than anyone I know! :)
How to: Cut the Bouquet of Flowers background from white cardstock using a Silhouette Cameo then back the layout with the "Lovely" paper from the Confetti collection, using dimensional adhesive. Watercolor over the flowers, matching the color of the paper underneath (although I added more yellow to the mix!). Trace a large round plate around the flowers with a pencil, poke a whole every 1/4", then backstitch with a rainbow of floss. Layer a photo over a transparency overlay then embellish with a chipboard frame, piece of a doily, tab sticker with the date written on it, a large fabric brad, ribbon pennant, epoxy letter sticker, camera hairpin, glitter leaf, half of a frame die cut, and a bit of journaling written on a die cut.
Supplies: Patterned paper: Confetti by Maggie Holmes; Chipboard frame, fabric brad, camera hairpin, die cuts, stickers, glitter leaf, transparency overlay: Open Book by Maggie Holmes; Cardstock, adhesive, pen: American Crafts; Die cut machine: Silhouette Cameo; Flower cut file: Bouquet of Flowers; Watercolors: Mister Huey's by Studio Calico; Floss: DMC
Well that was fun :)
